In the early 1980s a film named Mene Pyaar Kiya hit screens
across India, and then came to light a young bubbly star named Abdul
Rashid Salim Salman Khan. He received the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award
for this film. This young lad was from Madhya Pradesh state in India
and was then one of the most promising newcomers of the industry.
