Dwayne Johnson Says His Mom Attempted Suicide When He Was 15 at Age

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's show, Ballers, isn't generally a snicker. 

The 45-year-old performing artist opened up on Instagram about an especially intense scene he needed to do shoot for the HBO appear. Sharing a photograph of himself on set at a gravesite, Johnson got real to life about the scene and its impact on him. 


"Not your regular scene on our parody #ballers, as I aired out a brew toasting my sibling, William, who conferred suicide," he composed on Friday morning. "Got me thinkin' however session what number of us have been influenced by suicide of our companions, family. Battle and agony is genuine. We've all been there in some way or another or another." 

Johnson went ahead to share his own startling anecdote about his mother Ata Johnson's suicide endeavor 30 years prior. 

"My mother attempted to look at when I was 15," he composed. "She got outta the auto on Interstate 65 in Nashville and strolled into approaching movement. Huge apparatuses and autos swerving outta the route not to hit her." 

He noticed that he was the person who spared his mother's life, including, "I snatched her and pulled her back on the rock shoulder of the street. What's obsessed with that suicide endeavor is right up 'til the present time, she has no memory of it at all. Most likely best she doesn't." 

The performing artist noticed that he didn't appreciate recording the scene, yet included that it was his obligation to reveal insight into suicide and the torment it brings. 

"We got fortunate that day when I was 15 and that ain't generally the case," he composed.
