President Donald Trump and his lawyers will not participate in Wednesday's impeachment hearing in the House Judiciary Committee, as indicated by a letter from the White House to the board of trustees acquired by ABC News.
"Concerning the meeting booked for December 4, we can't reasonably be relied upon to take an interest in a consultation while the observers are yet to be named and keeping in mind that it stays vague whether the Judiciary Committee will bear the cost of the President a reasonable procedure through extra hearings. All the more critically, a solicitation to a scholarly discourse with law teachers doesn't start to furnish the President with any similarity to a reasonable procedure. In like manner, under the present conditions, we don't plan to take part in your Wednesday hearing," White House counsel Pat Cipollone wrote in a Sunday evening letter to Chairman Jerry Nadler.
