Entertainer Natalie Deselle-Reid, most popular to TV crowds as Janie Egins on the UPN sitcom Eve, has kicked the bucket. She was 53.
The news was affirmed Monday morning on Deselle-Reid's Instagram account. "It is with incredibly hefty hearts that we share the deficiency of our excellent Natalie earlier today," read the inscription. "She was a splendid light in this world. A sovereign. An uncommon mother and spouse. Her assorted profession contacted so numerous and she will be adored for eternity. Normally, we are lamenting and preparing this significant misfortune and we thank you ahead of time for regarding our security at this very troublesome time."
Deselle-Reid had apparently been doing combating colon disease.
Holly Robinson Peete, who showed up inverse Deselle-Reid in NBC/WB sitcom For Your Love, considered her previous co-star a "brilliant sparkling star" on Twitter, adding, "Just totally devastated by this news… I became more acquainted with her when my mother was dealing with her. She will be so missed… Sending out supplications to her youngsters and spouse."
