The pop star’s national tour will resume in about six weeks in
Uniondale, N.Y. The European leg, which kicks off in Amsterdam, is still
scheduled for May 2.
Cyrus’ rep said the singer suffered an “an extreme allergic reaction” to the antibiotic Cephalexin when being treated to a sinus infection. She cancelled the first of a string of shows on Tuesday when she was supposed to perform in Kansas.
“This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases,” her rap said in a statement. “She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor’s care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans.”
