In 2010, Selena starred in the film Ramona and Beezus, as she began work on her band’s second album. Released on September 17, 2010, A Year Without Rain became the band’s first album to reach the Top 5 in the Billboard 200, and once again was certified Gold.
Media speculation went on for several months about a possible relationship between Selena and Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber. This was confirmed when the two attended the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party together. After approximately two years together, the couple broke up sometime around the beginning of 2013.
In the June of 2011, Selena Gomez & the Scene’s third and final album When the Sun Goes Down was released.
