Health - Health-wise, animals fats and proteins are proven to raise a person's risk of developing diabetes, cancer, hypertension, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, cancer along with other illnesses. Journals have also published that men with early stage prostate cancer who make intensive changes in their lifestyle and diet might stop or even reverse the progression of their illnesses. Plant-based diets will in fact either reduce or completely eradicate people's genetic propensity in developing chronic diseases like cancer, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. You have to understand that vegetables, fruits, legumes and whole grains do not contain cholesterol - these foods are in fact low in fat. Moreover, they are high in fiber are also good sources of protein.
Animal Rights - They believe in the absolute right of animals to exist freely without human interference. Farming nowadays is different from what it used to be. Modern farms are highly mechanized factories - plenty of animals are given a couple of products for them to produce more. Vegans say that veganism is a way of lie with a philosophy that animals are not out to use.
