It's Judi Dench, who has been impressing audiences since she was 5 years
old (when she played a snail in a school play). Pictured here in 1957,
she would go on to be one of the Oscars' most celebrated actresses.
Dench, 79, is nominated for best actress for her role in "Philomena"
this year — and she received all seven of her Oscar nominations after
the age of 60. "I was told I didn't have the face to be a screen
actress," she said to the Hollywood Reporter, explaining why she
initially shied away from film. (Photo by Hulton Archive/Getty Images)
