Katy Perry Devastated by Johnny Lewis Death

Katy Perry is reportedly devastated by the death of her ex-boyfriend Johnny Lewis, who was found dead outside a LA house along with his elderly landlady on Wednesday (September, 26).
Perry and Lewis were a couple in the period between 2005-2006, when she was a low-profile singer. Her fame came after she released her breakout hit, I Kissed A Girl.
Perry, 27, revealed that she knew her ex was facing dark times, but she could have never even dreamed that he would end up dead.

A source close to the Firework hitmaker told UsWeekly that Lewis,28, had a profound effect on both Katy and her career, since at least two of her songs were inspired by him.
Katy separated from the Sons of Anarchy actor at a point in their relationship when he was to hard to handle. However, the “good times” spent with him will be always dear to her and she will always cherish the time spent with him.
Here is what the source said exactly:
"She had to separate from him… to get ahead and focus on her career. He was in trouble then and she couldn't help him. A lot of her songs were partially inspired by him. I know The One That Got Away and Circle the Drain are partly about him, as well as Travis, but she was young and it was a time in her life she cherishes."
He also added that she tried to pull him back from the self-destructive track, but she failed. Good thing though, is that she didn't followed him on his way to downfall.
After her split from Lewis and becoming world wide known singer, Perry married Russell Brand in 2010. Their marriage was short-lived and ended with divorce in 2011.
As for Lewis, his break up with Katy was followed with many violent crimes and a history of arrests.
He was arrested for a felony assault with a deadly weapon in January, and one month later he was taken into custody for sucker-punching a man for no reason.
Prior to his death, he was also in jail, being released just five days before the unfortunate event.
Sadly but true, those who knew Johnny were not surprised at all with his unfortunate death.
Among these people was the creator of Sons of Anarchy, who tweeted, “wish i could say that i was shocked by the events last night, but i was not. i am deeply sorry that an innocent life had to be thrown into his destructive path.”
Lewis also starred in TV series, like Boston Public, The O.C., Criminal Minds, American Dreams and Quintuplets.
