Coming soon, 'Pyar Ka Punchnama' 2
If you loved 2011's small budget-big film, 'Pyar Ka Punchnama', here's a good news for you!
The surprise hit will soon have a sequel! As fans eagerly wait for its sequel, director Luv Ranjan says they would have to wait until next year.
"I am not making it currently. I will be making it next year," said Ranjan.
"Pyaar Ka Punchnama" revolved around the lives of three lovestruck boys - Rajjo, Liquid and Choudhary - essayed by newcomers Karthik Tiwari, Divyendu Sharma and Rayo Bakhirta.
It was a hilarious tale of their efforts to deal with their love interests, essayed by Nushrat Bharucha, Sonalli Sehgal and Ishita Sharma.
Asked if Ranjan will cast the same actors, he said it would depend on the script's demand.
"It totally depends on how the script shapes up. If the script demands Rajjo, Liquid and Choudhary then I would like to cast the same people," Ranjan said.
"If at any point of time we feel that we don't wish to continue the story with the three characters, and we want another story, then we might take three newcomers," he added.
Chitrangada tries Madhuri's 'Sailaab' act!
Actress Chitrangada Singh, who has been part of off-beat cinema, is all set for her first item number for Shirish Kunder's 'Joker' and says it is inspired by Madhuri Dixit's number from 'Sailaab'.Â
"When Farah Khan offered me the song I asked her what's the song all about? What was the concept? What kind of look will I have? She told me it will be similar to Madhuri's look in 'Sailaab'. She said we will try and get the same look like Madhuri," said Chitrangada.
"But that is Madhuri, you can't do a Madhuri, you can only try and do Madhuri, so we have tried to do something like that. We had fun doing that," she added.
While 'Hum ko aaj kal hai' from 'Sailaab' was choreographed by Saroj Khan, this has been choreographed by Farah. Chitrangada didn't have much time to rehearse for the song.
"Hair style, clothes are somewhat similar to 'Sailaab'. I had a great time dancing. Unfortunately, I didn't get much time to rehearse. But whatever time I got, I used to keep rehearsing. We did as much as we could. It is beautifully choreographed by Farah and it is a very very good song," she said.
Talking about Sudhir Mishra's 'Kaam' with Arjun Rampal, she said: "We finished shooting for 'Kaam'. It is a different love story and is set against the backdrop of sexual exploitation. The movie is set in an ad agency. It is about what happens when you are working together. There is a case of sexual harassment."
Why Kalki not a part of 'Gangs of Wasseypur'
Kalki Koechlin, who has earlier been seen in hubby Anurag Kashyap's directorial ventures, has missed it on 'Gangs Of Wasseypur' because, she feels, she doesn't fit into village belle's character.
When asked why she wasn't a part of the movie, Kalki said: "I don't look like a Bihari gaon ki ladki (a village girl from Bihar) from any angle. So that's simply why."
At the same time, Kalki feels she is a spoilt actress, given the gamut of directors she gets to work with. "I am very comfortable working with Dibakar (Banerjee), Zoya (Akhtar), Ayan (Mukerji) and Kannan (Iyer) sir. I am actually very spoilt. I get to work with all my favourite directors," Kalki said.
Kalki has earlier been a part of Kashyap's directorial ventures "Dev D" and "That Girl In Yellow Boots".
