Intro
Chicken is a popular meat, usually less expensive and more nutritious
than red meats. A favorite part for many people is the drumsticks,
perhaps because of the ease of preparation and consumption. One way to
cook this part of the poultry is to bake it in the oven. With all the
different recipes to cook chicken legs, you will have no trouble in
preparing a meal your family will enjoy.
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Next, line a baking pan with
aluminum foil. This will make less mess for you to clean up after
cooking.
Cut a bell pepper into tiny pieces until you have 1/4 cup. Also, cut a garlic clove into very small pieces.
Add the honey, minced onion, bell pepper and garlic into a bowl and stir together.
Coat 6 to 8 chicken legs with butter and place on the prepared baking
pan, far enough apart so no leg touches another. Placing the meat thus
will help it to cook evenly.
Place the pan of chicken in the oven once it is preheated and let cook
for 15 minutes. Then turn each piece over and bake 15 minutes more.
Take the pan from the oven. Next, brush the honey mixture over the top
of the legs. Turn the meat over and apply the glaze on the other side.
Bake for 20 minutes and or until juices run clear when pierced with a
fork. If unsure if the chicken is cooked enough, then use a meat
thermometer to make sure the internal temperature is at least165 degrees
F. Remove from the oven and allow the chicken to cool a little before
serving.
